Okay, and now for the Blurb!
'It's going to take a fight, I know that. But it's more than just a fight for my life. It's a fight for my soul and my soul mate.' Jazzy Williams is not your average coffee-loving teen. She's struggling with her grief, her famous uncle’s fans, an overprotective big brother, and a depressed mother, all while trying to make friends at her new school. In the first week, she meets a gorgeous green-eyed hottie who turns out to be more than just some high school crush - he's more than human. And she unknowingly enrages a very dangerous breed of immortal who wants her soul or life as payment. With the help of supernatural friends and protectors, Jazzy thinks she's safe until what remains of her family is put in danger. Does Jazzy have what it takes to save her family, life, soul and soul mate, or will all be lost? *Warning* Mature Content. This contains some profanity, mild sexual situations, innuendos, and violence. Recommended for ages 17 and up, depending on maturity level. And now my Jazzy Review! Get it? Jazzy... Lol... PLOT: I'm a sucker for the whole Soul Mates thing. I mean who wouldn't want something like that in their life? A person that's been created just for you. Jazzy and Seth I think work really well together. They seem to complement one another like no other. Like many heroines in paranormal/supernatural settings, Jazzy is a tough chick. She wants to prove to herself and those around her that she can take care of herself. And she does a really good job. BUT what I really enjoyed about this book was the supernatural beings and their super powers. Like the shadows, aka Devuxen, that keep following Jazzy in school halls or the night terrors that are too real to be dreams. We have werewovles, witches, and Amaranthines. Over all this is a new kinda paranormal that steps out of boundary from the norm! CHARACTERS: OMG GUYS, you have to meet BARRY!!!! BARRY is my utmost fav, character in this book. Well him and Skeeter. If Rachel decides to write their stories, I'd be on those like peanut on the butter, OR something like that. Because THEY are uber funny. <3 these characters. I know that Skeeter is going to end up Henry, who is Jazzy's twin brother. But Barry... o, i hope he gets some more more uptight! That'd be so much fun!!!!!! Over all: This story was good, it had great potential and the action scenes were something to brag about. I say, you should definitely give it a go and give this book and this new author a chance!
